How To Sew An Ironing Board Cover

This is the first day of Kids Clothes Week Challenge.  I started my projects this morning.  But before I spent the week sewing, I really needed to replace my ironing board cover.  They range in prices from $19.99 - $39.99!  Expensive!  Or I could buy fabric for $1.00 a yard and sew one up.

I used the directions from A Load Of Craft.  And it was quick!  It took me less than 30 minutes to give my old ironing board a make-over.

Sweet Verbena, isn't that a lovely southern name, has a tutorial for a cover using a draw string instead of elastic.
Do you need a space saver?  Crafty Fox shows you how to make an ironing board to go on top of a table or washing machine.
I am thinking about making this adorable laundry board hanger from the House of Smith's.  But I know I'll never actually use it!

I worked on my hour of sewing today.  But I wish I had precut my fabric like other KCWC participants.  Because I spent an hour cutting and not actually sewing.  Bummer!  I cut out pajama bottoms for Ethan and pajama top and bottoms for Devin.
