I'm so excited and happy for Madison! She graduated high school. The world is now her oyster! I can't wait to see what she does next.
We stood for 35 minutes as the graduates marched in.
We listened to an hour of talks.
We waited another 30 minutes for the graduates to receive their diplomas.
All this is substantially more difficult when you have 3 bored little boys sitting around you. But it was worth it because their sister's turn was coming. We told them as soon as they said Madison's name to cheer really loudly and yell her name!
Her turn was coming.
She walked up the stairs.
She approached the podium.
It was so exciting! And then the young person introducing the graduates said, "Mackenzie Kate Judd." Wait, what? Who? They said her name wrong! And it was over! We all missed cheering for our daughter the graduate because they said the WRONG name! At her graduation! After 12 years of education!
Oh well. She still graduated. And we called her Mackenzie all night long!
