Sew Your Own Shirt, Woman!

I bought this lovely dress at a local thrift store for $4.00. I didn't buy it for the fit, obviously. It's an extra large which means that my boobs only dream it could fill the top half. I bought it for the stripes, woman! I wanted the navy stripes and I figured it would cost less to remake this dress than to buy fabric at the fabric store.

I used one of my favorite T-shirts to make the pattern. I have a friend who was amazed I can make a pattern off an item of clothing. Thanks to my mom I've been doing this since I was 12, so I thought everyone could do this! My friend asked me to write up directions so she could make her own patterns. So, I am currently writing one up and I thought I would put it on this little blog of mine.

And why can't I take a decent picture?  I think it's a talent that some possess.  I am of the non possessing variety of person.

Seriously?  I don't even recognize myself in pictures.  Have you seen those bumper stickers that say "My other car's a porsche?"  I should have a bumper sticker on my back that says "My other camera takes pictures of super models!"

 Oh yeah, there's that super model!
