Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Anya tells her daughters a fairy tale as they are growing up. This is the only real connection the daughters have to their distant and cold mother. As grown women the daughters discover is much more than a fairy tale for children but a link to their mother's Russian past.
I loved this book! This book was a page turner and it left me thinking of the characters in the book when I wasn't reading it. I never knew what would happen from chapter to chapter and the bitter sweet ending I would never have predicted.
I would recommend this book and I only wish I was currently in a reading group so I could discuss this with a group of friends!
