Stockings Are Hung By The Chimney With Care

Long, long ago (10 years) in a land far away (Texas) I made Christmas stockings for my family. They were cross stitched with a beautiful antique design, backed with a Christmas plaid. I spent 2,392 hours making those stockings. I had visions of my children still using those stockings when they had children of their own. In the move to the frozen tundra the stockings disappeared. Last year we placed soccer socks over the back of the couch for Santa to fill. This year I made new stockings. It took me 2,388 less hours than the cross stitch masterpieces. I don't know if these will become precious heirlooms, the tassels are cute.
