Yesterday Ethan was baptized and confirmed a member of our church. It was a very special day. Ethan looked so handsome and he was so excited to take part in this big event in his life. He was determined to overcome his fear of water and allow himself to be immersed. I am so proud of him for confronting his fear because he really wanted to have Christ and the Holy Ghost in his life.
It is a tradition for John and I to give our children their own set of scriptures when they are baptized. Ethan was so cute walking around in church to proudly carrying his scriptures.
I am so thankful to have Ethan in our family. He is always the calm in the storm. His serene and kind spirit always centers me when the rest of us are frustrated and anxious. I pray that Ethan will always know we are grateful for him and that he is loved by us and our Heavenly Father.
After the baptism we had a celebration lunch. And this is why I made enough chili to feed an army. I was worried that I made too much, but we ate it all!
It was a wonderful day!
