Predictable Am I?

Move
I thought moving across the country was an unexpected and unpredictable event in my life.  But I've had many conversations like the following:

Me: Guess what?
Friend:
You're pregnant.
Me: No!  I'm not pregnant!  Guess again.
Friend: You're moving.
Me:  Yes, am I that predictable?

I guess I'm the only one surprised by our upcoming move.  But I have news that has proved to be shocking and unpredictable.  Here's another conversation.

Devin's Birth 009
Me:
  Guess what?
Friend:  You're pregnant.
Me:  No, and I've really got to stop asking people to guess.  I've decided to stop scrapbooking.
Friend:  No way!  I can't believe it!  Why would you do that?  You're so good at it!  Don't stop!

It's true everyone.  I have no desire to scrapbook.  When I think of it I cringe and I lack any enthusiasm for the hobby.  I don't think I've done a page in over a year.  And I don't miss it one bit.  Surprise!

I am a bit perplexed why people are more surprised that I would stop knocking out scrapbook pages but if I knocked out (snicker) another baby they wouldn't be the least bit phased.  I have 4 kids, don't you think I have my hands full?!

It's a good think you're moving to a new house so you don't waste that big beautiful scrapbooking room anymore.

I bet your friends would be surprised if you gave birth to a scrapbook.

I'm right there with ya! My oldest son has beautiful scrapbooks that I devoted my life to...the other two, well...middle child has some...the baby...none, not one scrapbooked page. So, I just started documenting things right here on my blog. Then one day if I want to, I can have the pages regarding the boys printed and binded. Much easier/quicker/cheaper this way!

Ahhhhhhh i already feel so much closer to you. I could never figure out the scrapbooking thing. AND if you have another baby...... if by chance. i think you should request another Devin. Ray and I can not stop talking about how funny that little kid is. We are so excited for him to be closer to us, as well as the rest of your family. We have talked about a lot of things of you moving closer. Maddie will be able to have all of her uncles there on her first date, prom, all the big events that you don't want you uncles there for or Kira and Laura to do the interrogations. family dinners will be so much more entertaining. John will actually be able to ride the 4wheeler with us, and we can talk him into doing dare devil type things. Oh the list continues. But back to Scrapbooking. I think you should keep your stuff still, just in case you need to make a card or have a certain project, or you need to make party invites for the parties you throw me for no reason at all. But i am glad we are nearing closer to one another.

I haven't scrapbooked in probably 12 years (if you can call the 2 mangled pages I put together "scrapbooked"), and haven't missed it one bit either.
