Family Fun Night: Bowling

I am having issues with the pictures and I'm too frustrated to try again!

Last night we went bowling!  Actually we went bowling in the backyard much to Ethan's dismay.  The boy started crying when he realized we weren't going to an actual bowling alley.  So, the evening began in tears.  sigh...

We dressed in our bowling team shirts.

Our menu consisted of food one would eat at a bowling alley, pizza and rootbeer.  Madison made the pizza and I added a salad because, you know, I'm a mom, vegetables and all that stuff.

Everyone must wear bowling shoes!  I was going to replace all the shoelaces with ribbons.  But after one shoe and 11 more to go, I decided it would be better to just tie ribbons on the shoelaces.

We had to bowl in the front yard because our pins wouldn't stand up on the grass.  Our neighbors came to cheer on the team!

And finally we had a rice crispy bowling ball made out of cocoa rice crispy cereal for dessert!

Just the simple fact you can still be outside at this time, let alone in t-shirts and shorts is amazing. we are lucky to see 50 degrees here now. Sigh
and once again you have thought of the most amazing activity

You are one of those women who just make other women feel guilty for not being as wonderful, crafty, and theme-y as you.

PS: That was a twisted compliment, just in case you read it thinking that I was trying to imply some bitter sarcasm.

Can we come to your Family Fun Nights? They all look so creative, amazing, and best of all....fun! There was so much complaining at ours last night that someone (that shall remain nameless) even complained about the ice cream being on a stick instead of in a bowl!! Whatever....it's ice cream!
