We Survived

But our trampoline didn't make it.

063

It was a very long night.  Listening to all the wind and rain is frightening when it is so dark outside!  Our neighborhood had a lot of fence damage, but we fared very well.  My friend who lives a couple miles down the road had a rough time of it.  They had a large trip snap in half.  It barely missed their house and the neighbor's house.  More friends who live across the street had a tree land on top of their house causing roof and water damage.

The power went out about 3:00 am but we are one of the lucky ones who had the power return about 10:00 this morning.  The water pressure is low and we are supposed to boil water before using it.

My brother still doesn't know what type of damage his apartment had.

We are thankful we are all safe!

Glad to hear you have electricity again and the only real damage is the trampoline.

Poor Trampoline! We get trampolines that look like that after the windstorms in our Nevada desert.
So glad you are okay without huge damage. We sure were worried about you.

I have been thinking of you guys all day, but I didn't want to bother you, knowing that you probably had enough on your mind. It is so good to hear that you are safe! Whew.

Glad to hear you guys are okay, and living pretty normal for the most part. Ray turned on the TV first thing this morning to see how it went. I am glad the tramp is the only thing that got it. Keep us updated.

Wow! It looks like it took that trampoline in its hands, wadded it up, and threw it back down!

I'm so glad you all are okay! We have been checking up on you. I am so proud of you and all the preparation you did before hand (the baking, laundry, shelter, candles, etc.) Your family is lucky to have you. My sympathy to the tramp.

Thank you for letting us know you are safe. I've been thinking about you all weekend. I can't imagine how scary that must have been. I am so glad to hear you and your family and your home are all okay!

Glad to hear you made it through the storm with minor damage. We were thinking of you and your family as we watched the news. We told the kids about the hurricane and they were worried about Houston disappearning in the storm. I reassured them that Houston would be ok and so would all of our friends. I teased Berkeley that maybe his hurricane clips he installed in our Houston house finally had some stress put on them! I'm actually glad we weren't there to see the storm. Hopefully life will return to normal quickly. Glad you are safe and sound.
