Swimsuit for Katrine....uh oh
Yes, that's right. Somehow I packed my cover-up but failed to pack the ever important swimsuit on a beach vacation!
So, while my family did this...
I sat on the beach in my levi shorts and shirt...
And then that evening I went shopping for a swimsuit at Wal-Mart. I can hear all the ladies groaning! It's not fun buying a swimsuit, especially if you're in a hurry and in any store that ends in Mart. I ended up buying my first bikini. I don't wear bikini's! And there's a reason for that and it's name is muffin top! So, I also bought board shorts and a tank to go with it.
Our hotel faced a beach that ended up being the best beach! It was so shallow. You could walk out 200 feet and it was only up to your ankles or knees. The water was so clean, beautiful, and warm! I was so surprised how much Devin and Ethan liked the water! They don't enjoy the pool like they do the waves! Little Devin insisted walking out all by himself without any assistance from John.
This picture makes me laugh because Devin sat down on his knees when I took this picture. Although John was only a foot away it looks like there's just a baby head bobbing alone in the water all alone!
I call this picture, "On My Own."
And will someone tell me when my daughter grew up? Seriously! This picture makes me stop and gasp!
Schoolbag in hand
She leaves home in the early morning
With an absent-minded smile
I watch her go
With a surge of that well-known sadness
And I have to sit down for a while
The feeling that I'm loosing her forever
And without really entering her world
I'm glad whenever I can share her laughter
That funny little girl...
