Will All The Mom's Who Spend Precious Time Looking For Shoes Raise Your Hand?

Wfmwsmall
It's the same thing everyday.  I have to send my boys upstairs to get their shoes out of their bedroom.  A lot of the time these dear boys never return because they have been distracted by something entertaining like floor lint.  If they do remember what their task is, they usually come back shoeless. Because, "they aren't hanging in the shoe organizer like they should and if they put them away I wouldn't have to waste time to find them and did they look under their bed or in the bathroom and they are going to miss the bus and here they are right in the middle of the room!"  That was a direct quote complete with run on sentences.  And I admit I don't use bad grammar in a nice tone when I have to go up and find their shoes.

I finally found the solution.  They have one of those shoe organizers that hang over a closet door.  I hung the organizer downstairs in the closet under the stairs.  It was sheer genius I tell you!  No longer do I have to tell them several times a day to take their shoes upstairs.  Keeping my boy's shoes downstairs where they don't belong works for me!

That is probably better than my theory of just leaving them by the front door.

I hate it when Ozzy leaves his shoes laying around. we have missed several church activities, and wasted way to much green jell-o because he can't find his shoes in time for the ward Limbo.

Hi! I got here by way of Kira Joy and Jason.
I'm with you, why fight it? I have to say, best idea I ever had was just to put a basket in the spot where most of the shoes ended up to begin with. Now everyone, including the girls friends drop their shoes in when they come in the house. Sometimes we have to dig for a match, but they are all there somewhere.
