Slow Cooking Thursday
It's that time of week again! Visit Sandra's blog to get recipes to use in your under used crockpot.
I found my recipe on another blog. The sad part is that I didn't write down where I got it. So, if this is your recipe, please let me know and I'll give credit where credit is due!
1 lb. ground beef, cooked and drained (I use 1/2 lb)
1/2 lb. cooked crispy bacon, crumbled (I didn't add bacon simply because I didn't have any)
1 small onion, chopped
1 can kidney beans (don't drain)
1 can pinto beans (don't drain)
1 can great northern beans (don't drain)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp. mustard
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vinegar (regular or apple cider)
Mix first 6 ingredients in crockpot. Mix sauce together and pour on top of beans. Cook all day on low, or at least 3 hours on high.
Delicious! This is my new baked beans recipe.
