Yes, I'm still alive! And here's a little blog update for you!
A couple of weeks ago we went to the Texas Renaissance Festival. We had heard a lot of good things about this festival so we headed out in great anticipation. It turns out that the festival is a way to charge people a huge entry fee and then charge them a lot of money to do anything! Oh well, live and learn and we managed to have a good time anyway.
Ethan and John rode a camel.
Madison, Cameron, and I rode the elephant.
We met a fire breathing dragon. Notice his foot creeping out under his clothes? Just as this picture was taken he put his dragon talons on Madison's legs causing her to scream and run. It was worth the $1 to take the picture!
And the children had their picture taken with Santa. (and this was the only free activity there!) I tried to put Devin in Santa's lap but the result was not pretty. Just funny, not pretty! Madison held him while he screamed in terror while we took the picture. Do you like the elves? Interesting expressions, no? I had planned on editing out the elves and make this our Christmas card. Because I think it's a cute photo and I want Devin to moan and groan when he's a teenager and say, "Why did you send that picture to everyone you know!" But it's now the 11th and I still haven't done anything about sending Season's Greetings to everyone.
So, consider this your card! Merry Christmas!
