Only 2 more days until The Office Premiere. (Is it pathetic that I'm so excited?)
I'm not only excited, I'm also in a Fall Funk. I long for cooler weather that requires a stylish sweater or a comfy sweatshirt. I want to wear my favorite jeans with boots or loafers with socks. I wish to see trees colored with orange, yellow, and fiery red leaves. I want to smell the cool crisp air in the mornings. I want to cook delicious wholesome soup for my family, but it's to warm to eat anything hot. But NOOOoooo.
I'm still wearing my flipflops with my mommy uniform of shorts, capri pants, and a T-shirt. The trees are as still as green as every other day. I get very excited if I see a single solitary dead leaf falling off a tree. They are never briliant fall colors, just brown and dead. There is never cool crisp air here. It's just muggy thick air that is thick as the soup that I wish I could make. I feel this way every year. I hate the fall funk!
But hey, The Office is coming! Maybe I'll turn down the airconditioning and crank on my fireplace (why do I have a fireplace in Texas?) and curl up in a soft blanket while pretending it's cold outside while I watch my favorite TV show.
