I Hate Grocery Shopping!

My brother Jason loves it.  But we all know he's the crazy one.  At least I was lucky enough to run into my friend Kristin.  Hi girl!  I haven't seen her or her cute Colton for a long time.  $209 but I paid $133.  Hopefully that'll be two weeks worth of groceries.

Monday: Turkey Sweet Potato Shepherd's Pie - This is a Rachael Ray recipe.  I'll let youu know how it goes.
Tuesday:  Foil Pack Taco Chicken with salad (I just realized I bought an Asian salad kit.  Do you think the Asian flavors and the Mexican flavors will blend nicely?)
Weds:  Spaghetti
Thursday:  Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken
Friday:  Blueberry Pancakes
Saturday:  Sloppy Joes
Sunday:  Sweet and Sour Meatballs (I'm doubling this recipe so that I can freeze part of it for a later dinner.)

Yeah, I say don't try to mix those taco and asian flavors. I don't think that's what they have in mind when they say "fusion."

OMG what? There's a Menu Planning Monday? I need to get on that - my blog is all about menu planning! How did you spend $133 on $209 worth of groceries? That is awesome. Man, those are some expensive groceries!
I've jumped off from my menu planning blog to start a business where I send people a box with groceries, recipes, and a suggested meal plan, so all they have to do is cook. No more chasing down the cheapest prices or fighting through crowds. I aim more for the maybe-pricier organic food, but it is fairly cheap here in California so it is still only $40 a week or less per person, which I hear a lot of people spending on regular groceries no matter where they are. You should check it out :)
