It's official! Madison turned 13 years old yesterday. She wore this crown all day yesterday! She's so cute! The future for her is exciting and thrilling. I can't wait to see what she does next! She is responsible, caring, and intelligent. I am also scared out of my mind! I am always asking, should she, should I, what next, what is wrong with the world, and am I going to mess her up? Madison is my joy!
I was talking to my friend Kim who reads my blog. And now she is a reader of my brother's blog also. We were laughing over some of his posts. She was laughing about my mom's culinary skills and said she thought it was hysterical when he made up the part of bunnichilada's. Sadly, Jason did not make this up. (although I don't remember rabbit tacos) And yes, my mom and dad gave my poor unsuspecting sister-in-law as a wedding gift for marrying into our family. And they were proud and happy to welcome her in this way. So, if you want to understand why I am the way I am, go and take some time at Jason's blog.
Now, I won't be offering you the recipe for rabbit nuggets, I have found a fantastic recipe for Blueberry Pancakes.
Todd's Blueberry Pancakes
They are fabulous! We have made them with both frozen and fresh blueberries. Both are great, but fresh is amazing. If you do use frozen, do not mix the blueberries in until right before you cook them. If you do, the blueberry juice make your pancakes grey. The recipe does say you should let the batter sit for one hour. But I only let it sit 10 minutes and it is fine.
