When I was first married I noticed my groom always had a list. It could be anything from jobs he wanted to get done, shopping needs, or vacation wishes. But I would never make a list. I thought I could rely on my memory. And for the most part I could. But everytime I forgot something, John would always say, "You should have made a list!"
After four children, and 13 years of marriage, I have finally acknowledged that my brain cannot hold anymore information! I now find pleasure in my lists. The best part of my list is it helps me prioritize. The things I need to get done first are in my line of vision and I don't loose sight of the goal. And the feeling of accomplishment is amazing when I get to cross something off my list!
