Back To School

I am so proud of my children. They all started new schools this year. Because of our upcoming move I moved heaven and earth to get the school district to allow us to start at the schools we are moving to. We were all very nervous. I'm so proud to say they all did great!

My beautiful Madison. She started 7th grade at a new junior high. Starting a new school at this age is torture. But she was brave and she did it!

Here's my 2nd grader. He's so cool! He loves his teacher, and that is always a good thing. And check out that grin! And I say with a deep love that a mother has for her child, his lack of teeth makes him look like a doofus. When he is talking his one big tooth sticks out like it is the only tooth in his head. I'm raising a toothless redneck! The tooth on the right just fell out last week. But the missing big tooth has been gone for over a year! The dentist reassures me that everything is fine. But come one, where's the tooth?!Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And finally my preschool child. This kid was SO ready for school to start! He woke up that morning and said to me with a joyful voice, "Mom, it's just you and Zoe (the dog) all day!"

Because of the new school's I will be playing the part of taxi driver until we have moved. Here's how our morning goes.
7:15 John drives Madison to work.
8:10 I get Cameron and Ethan in the car
8:30 Drop Cameron off at his school
9:00 Ethan gets to class without a backward glance at mom.

Afternoon Routine
2:15 leave to pick up Ethan
2:30 pick up Ethan
2:45 pick up Madison
There isn't enough time to go home, but there is enough time to wait......
3:45 pick up Cameron

So I am spending about 3 hours a day in my car taking my children to school. Needless to say I am spending way to much money on gas because my SUV gets about 12 miles to the gallon. It's not fun.

And can you see what's wrong with this picture? Our house is the one on the right.

That can't be good.
