Elizabeth, This One's For You!

This is my friend Elizabeth.
She is a vegeterian. Therefore; her children are vegeterians also. I found a blog that I know she would appreciate. You'll love this Libby! It is Vegan Lunchbox. I am totally inspired by the way this woman feeds her child. Although my family will never give up our sinful meat eating ways, I appreciate the clean and healthy things this woman can get her children to eat. And although I know my children will never eat Japanese sticky rice wrapped in nori seaweed, I think I will dare to try sliced pears, carrot sticks, and maybe a sandwich with pita bread instead of bread. My kids are picky eaters.

I've noticed that if I put fruit in their lunch they will eat it because there is no choice. They either eat it or go hungry. At home they will just find somthing else to eat if they don't like what I'm serving. Today I roasted a turkey. An entire turkey on a normal week night! I made cranberry sauce and sausage stuffing to go with it. Six hours of baking made me feel incrdible as a wife and a mother.

Cameron and Ethan nibbled at a little of the turkey. Cameron felt brave and even tried the cranberries. But before I could even finish my dinner Ethan was at my side asking for yogurt. I don't think so little dude! Eat turkey or go hungry!

I'm also wondering if the change of eating habits may help Cameron with his sleeping habits. One can only hope! Speaking of sleep habits, I've had my own issues lately. I can't sleep. And because of chronic eye problems I can't take normal sleep medication because the ingredients dry out my eyes. But a trip to the health store has solved my problem. Melatonin to the rescue. I took the little magic tablet 30 minutes ago and I'm beginnig to feel the effect. It'll be interesting to read this tomorrow to see what I wrote.

Nighty night!

PS. Elizabeth and Carolyn, I was so tempted to use a certain picture of a certain someone grabbing a certain body part on a certain someone but I didn't want to get my friends mad at me. So, this certain someone will save the picture for a certain time where I may need to blackmail certain people.
